Arriving at Roca Verde is a treat in itself. Already one has spent sometime being able to see the ocean as you have driven along coming down the coast. As one nears the hotel, it seems to just get prettier with each turn. Massive exotic trees at times form a tunnel that you drive through with the frothy white water off to the right. When you finally turn into the drive, you know you have arrived. You actually drive toward the ocean from the highway.

As you drive up to the main building, you can look past it at the ocean. The grounds are extremely inviting and as so many have done, the first few days they are content to stay put at Roca Verde with its pool, its beach, and its restaurant, which is known in the area as one of the finest. Of course "staying put" can easily include a short walk up the beach to Dominical with its thriving beach side community. On Saturday nights though, most guests will choose to stay as Roca Verde opens up with its famous live music and salsa dancing. An even not to miss!
